Actualización (23:30 h.): Manu me manda esa misma página pero vista desde Netscape 4.7 para windows. Mirar lo que pasa.....

Está centrado la captura para que se vea mejor. He estado mirando el código fuente de la página y el error de diseño no es porque usen css para situar la publicidad -como podría pensarse a primera vista- sino que usan una tabla normal y corriente....

Muy divertido el acertijo. La verdad, no encuentro el contenido por ninguna parte...
Si contamos con una pantalla pequeñita y el navegador en todo su explendor de barras de navegación, nos queda una pequeña parte (un 10%?) de noticia.
Por cierto, muy interesante el anuncio publicitario del banco ;-))

En serio, una propuesta muy interesante y aleccionadora sobre la usabilidad. Si Nielsen le diera un vistazo se quedaría vizco!!

Esto ya se parece a la televisión, que entre anuncio y anuncio, ponen algo de contenido para disimular.

Ya, ya, pero entonces, si hay ceguera de banners y los CPM caen cada día más, y los anuncios de sólo texto funcionan únicamente en buscadores, ¿qué alternativa les queda a los que sirven contenido? Cobrárnoslo, supongo. Y supongo que todos los que criticamos la publicidad intrusiva estaríamos encantados de pagar... :-)

Es triste, pero me temo que tarde o temprano se llegará a la conclusión de que: «LA PUBLICIDAD NO FUNCIONA EN INTERNET» y «LOS USUARIOS NO ESTÁN ACOSTUMBRADOS/DISPUESTOS A PAGAR POR ACCEDER A CONTENIDOS» (me niego a estar pagando 100 mil pesetas al año por Slashdot, El País, El Mundo, Google...).

rvr creo que tu criterio es un poco extremista. la publicidad funciona en la radio, televisión, prensa escrita, revistas y obviamente en internet, el problema es que hace falta unas buenas ideas implementadas en este medio. el banner pudo llegar a ser algo creativo pero se impusieron standards y pendejdas por el estilo que limitaban la creatividad.

a mi me han tocado unos cuantos ejemplos de publicidad en linea bien aplicada y muy funcional (http://www.eresunagorda.com).

asi mismo los usuarios están acostumbrados a pagar por contenidos en línea pero el modelo de pagar por servicio plus o premium creo que es muy valido y funciona muy bien macfixit (http://macfixit.com) es un buen y gran ejemplo de que el servicio lite es buenisimo y el pro es excelente.

hablar de que la publicidad en linea no sirve es u pensamiento ultra pesimista basado talvez en unos cuantos malos ejemplos de programación o diseño como el de el mundo,

Eduardo. Cuando hago esas afirmaciones (la publicidad no funciona, el pago por contenidos tampoco lo hará) , lo hago con conocimiento de causa. Los internautas con experiencia no navegan por la red para perder el tiempo, sino que se 'aficionan' a unas pocas webs que visitan regularmente, y las visitan por sus contenidos, no por su publicidad. Yo me he acostumbrado a ignorar todo aquello que se mueve, dado que lo asocio a publicidad. Conmigo, la publicidad no funciona: haya anuncios buenos, malos o regularos. Es algo así como "Mi tiempo es precioso y lo que quiero es leer el artículo del periódico (por ejemplo)".

En el caso del pago por contenidos, el problema está en que sólo va a servir en casos profesionales puntuales, pero la generalización no va a funcionar: nadie va a querer una sangría en su VISA, pagando suscripción por los contenidos de los 10 o 20 webs que visita regularmente. Y los micropagos, tampoco creo que vayan a funcionar: da inseguridad en el internauta (¿cuánto me va a salir navegar este mes, si ya estoy pagando por la banda ancha?).

Mi pregunta es si ciertos pefiles de edad estarían dispuestos a pagar por ciertos contenidos en exclusiva. Estoy hablando de Micropagos con el movil (el precio del mensaje). Ej. Fin alternativo de la serie compañeros, en streamming, sólo para el que pague.
